Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner

About the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner

The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner supports the Commissioner in achieving his priorities set out in his crime plan, delivers a service to the public and helps him meet the legal obligations of the role.  Commissioning is a shared service with the Force, with the team working in partnership and collaboratively with partner agencies.

Services Provided:

The partnership working that the commissioning team undertakes leads to the annual development of commissioning intentions, which help the Commissioner to deliver his police and crime plan and the legal obligations placed upon him.  Once these have been approved the Commissioner, the services are then commissioned and managed by the commissioning team.  The commissioning team is keen to work and engage with the voluntary sector so that they too may have the opportunity to influence and/or contribute to commissioning proposals.
