Home-Start North Wiltshire

About Home-Start North Wiltshire

We support families from all backgrounds through their most challenging times.  Families we help may be struggling to cope for a variety of reasons:

  • Isolation and loneliness
  • Emotional and mental health needs
  • Relationship difficulties or family breakdown
  • Illness or bereavement
  • Financial worries
  • Twins, triplets or more!

Services Provided:

Our committed team of trained and supervised volunteers visit families once a week, in their own homes, normally for up to six months.  Volunteers provide practical and emotional support, tailored to the family’s individual needs, with the aim of building resilience, confidence and wellbeing.

In partnership with Home-Start Wiltshire, we also offer small group support tailored to military families.  Groups run for eight weeks each and are supported by qualified playworkers, enabling parents to make the best use of the peer support and professional advice on offer.

Supports:

We support families with at least one child under five years old.

Our support focuses on early intervention to prevent difficulties escalating into crisis or the need for statutory support.

Areas Covered:

Families living in Pewsey, Marlborough, Calne, Chippenham, Devizes or Tidworth and their surrounding villages.

How are services accessed?

Families can self-refer, or be introduced to us by another agency.
